KANSAS CITY POETRY SCENE HAS SURVIVED ANOTHER WINTER SEASON WITHOUT THE LOSS OF A VENUE. SO HOPEFULLY NOW ATTENDANCE CAN NOW GET BACK TO WHERE IT SHOULD BE. I UNDERSTAND THAT ITS HARD TO SUPPORT SO MANY EVENTS. ESPECIALLY WHILE ITS COLD. APRIL IS THE MONTH OF POETRY, THAT MEANS THE MAJORITY OF POETRY BOOKING WILL HAPPEN THIS MONTH. NOW IS THE TIME TO PUT YOUR WORK IN.

This Is Slam ULIT's second season as a PSI Poetry Slam, Inc. certified slam venue. Meaning that winners of these slams will go on to our finals where they will battle it out for bragging rights and the chance to go Decatur, Georgia to represent Kansas City and ULIT at the world's largest poetry competition: as 2016 NPS (National Poetry Slam) SlamULIT slam team.
